Opel will grant visitors of this year’s Paris Motor Show a peak into the future. More specifically: into the future of technically cutting-edge and visually stunning estate cars. The latest concept car from Rüsselsheim, the visionary Opel Sports Tourer eXperimental Concept – or Opel STX Concept for short – will celebrate its world premiere in the French capital.

Furthermore, Opel will be showcasing its full range of highly dynamic GSE models there from October 12 to 18. At Opel, GSE stands for ‘Grand Sport Electric’ – and it is precisely this spirit of highly dynamic driving pleasure and design, combined with Deutscher Ingenieurskunst (German engineering expertise), that the German manufacturer will be presenting to an international audience. First and foremost, the new Opel GSE 27FE. The GEN4 Formula E racing car for the coming season, with over 800 hp, represents the epitome of the Opel GSE world and can be seen for the first time in its final world championship design. The new Opel Corsa GSE everyday sports car, which is already available to order, is also making its exhibition debut. The 207 kW (281 hp) hot hatch accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds – faster than any other current production model from Opel. And anyone wishing to experience the GSE feeling, regardless of their preferred powertrain, will soon have the opportunity to do so. The new GSE Line trim level is set to launch, starting with the Opel Astra GSE Line in Paris.

The GSE range is further complemented by the Opel Mokka GSE, bringing the rally feeling from its motorsport counterpart, the Mokka GSE Rally, to the road. Together with the top-of-the-range Grandland Electric AWD all-wheel-drive SUV and the affordable Frontera Electric family SUV in its Extended Range variant, it exemplifies the wide range of fresh SUVs bearing the Blitz emblem.

Together with Vice President Marketing Rebecca Reinermann and Vice President Design Mark Adams, Opel CEO Florian Huettl will present these and other highlights to an international audience at the Opel Press Conference, which will take place at the Opel stand A42 in hall 4 at 11.40 CEST on Monday, October 12.

Opel STX Concept: The vision of tomorrow’s highly emotional and technical estate

The Opel STX Concept is the bold vision of the electric estate of tomorrow. It combines German engineering, emotional design and intelligent technologies in such a way that drivers and passengers experience the highest level of driving pleasure. The latest concept car from Rüsselsheim thus continues Opel’s long tradition as an estate pioneer in Europe and clearly relates to the Sports Tourer models with the Blitz, such as the latest generation Astra Sports Tourer, with its ‘ST’ abbreviation. But the STX Concept is more. It also symbolises the next evolutionary step of Opel’s design philosophy – even bolder, purer, more emotional and more efficient. This is evident in the even more striking Opel Vizor, with its light animations in curved lamellas, as well as in the steeply sloping rear and the overall surface design, which, with its flush, precise lines and a distinctively technical appearance, emphasises the vehicle’s character.

In addition, the STX Concept has an active aerodynamic system that continuously adapts to the driving situation, using moving elements at the rear to optimise airflow, reduce drag and improve stability. Thus, the STX Concept is not only a show car that presents groundbreaking design with innovative technology ideas. It also anticipates the evolution of the estate body style and already contains elements of future Opel models.

Opel GSE 27FE: All-electric GEN 4 Formula E racing car in its final livery

The Opel GSE 27FE is the GEN 4 race car for the Formula E World Championship, which Opel will join as of the coming season. And it is the epitome of the Opel GSE motto ‘Grand Sport Electric’. The high-performance car has permanent all-wheel drive, an output of over 800 hp, achieves a recuperation output of up to 700 kW and is thus taking electric motorsport to a completely new level.

Elsewhere, Opel will convey the racing car’s speed and performance at first sight. The Opel Compass features prominently at the front and clearly identifies the vehicle as an Opel. At the same time, the GSE 27FE continues to develop the GSE design language introduced with the Mokka GSE Rally – from a rugged rally look to a new visual world designed for high-tech and high-speed Formula E. At the Paris Motor Show, the Opel GSE 27FE is on display for the first time in its final livery, ready for its world championship debut.

Opel Corsa GSE: Everyday sports car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds

The new Opel Corsa GSE, which is already available to order, will celebrate its exhibition premiere in Paris. The hot hatch, in keeping with the finest tradition, makes its appearance in the distinctive GSE design and promises emotions, excitement and high performance combined with all-electric driving pleasure.

The high-performance version of Germany’s best-selling small car has everything one could wish for: With a lowered sports chassis, 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Newton metres of torque, the newcomer offers just as much electric power as the ‘2025 Golden Steering Wheel’^[2] winner Mokka GSE. But the Corsa GSE flexes its muscles a little more. Because it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds – faster than any other current production Opel! Drivers accelerate to 180 km/h on a clear German Autobahn. The performance is underlined by an active sports sound developed exclusively for the new Corsa GSE, which accompanies the driving experience depending on acceleration and speed. This all makes the performance visible, tangible and audible to the driver and passengers.

Opel Astra GSE Line: Highly dynamic GSE looks and free choice of powertrains

The all-electric everyday sports cars Mokka GSE and Corsa GSE are wowing the media and the public alike with their performance, precision and highly dynamic design. Consequently, Opel is following up quickly, bringing the GSE experience to other models – with the latest Astra debuting the new trim. The compact class bestseller made in Rüsselsheim will be on display as the Astra GSE Line at the ‘Mondial de l’Auto’ for the first time.

With the new trim, customers will be able to drive their own car in the distinctive GSE design while retaining a free choice of powertrains. The new GSE Line, which will be available to order from spring 2027, gives the Astra an even sharper look and can be combined with battery-electric, plug-in hybrid or hybrid powertrains, as well as conventional internal combustion engines.

Exciting SUV family: Mokka GSE, Grandland Electric AWD and Frontera Electric

Furthermore, Opel is showcasing the full variety of electric SUVs with the Blitz in the French capital. The Mokka GSE brings the rally feeling of its motorsport counterpart, the Mokka GSE Rally, to the road for customers. All this with the same power output of 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Newton metres of torque. Added to this are rally-inspired technology and numerous design and equipment details that evoke pure emotion. And with a top speed of 200 km/h, the Mokka GSE is the fastest all-electric production Opel to date.

Maximum driving comfort and safety in all traffic and weather conditions are the top priorities for the Grandland Electric AWD. Opel’s first all-electric model with all-wheel drive boasts a total system output of 239 kW (325 hp) and up to 509 Newton metres of torque. The Grandland Electric AWD’s chassis, featuring adaptive Frequency Selective Damping technology, and its individually selectable driving modes are crucial for optimum road contact and reliable grip. Drivers can choose from ‘Normal’, ‘Eco’, ‘Sport’ and ‘4WD’. The top-of-the-range SUV thus ensures outstanding roadholding and driving pleasure – whether on snow or when towing a caravan on a holiday trip.

Opel’s current SUV range in Paris is rounded off by the practical, family-friendly and affordable Frontera SUV. The Frontera offers particularly good value for money with innovative features such as comfortable Intelli-Seats, a smartphone station and space for up to seven people. And the Frontera Electric Extended Range offers a locally emissions-free range of up to 400 kilometres (WLTP³) between charging stops thanks to its 54 kWh battery (52 kWh usable capacity).
