RSNA 2023: Ziehm Imaging expands its product line for mobile all-in-one C-arms

Ziehm Imaging, the innovation leader for mobile C-arms, is expanding its product line of Ziehm Solo FD. These versatile all-in-one mobile C-arms represent most compact systems for even the smallest treatment scenarios, eliminating the need for a separate monitor cart.
One new variant features a new 31 cm x 31 cm IGZO flat-panel1 detector. This enables a wider range of applications, such as imaging the entire hip in orthopedics. The second novelty is Ziehm Solo FD lite2, a configuration with a limited option package for price-sensitive markets.
The premium variant Ziehm Solo FD CMOSline3 is equipped with latest CMOS flat-panel technology that achieves significantly more details and a higher spatial resolution due to smaller pixel sizes, resulting in brilliant image quality.

Demonstrating its commitment to continuous innovation, the German-based company has streamlined its portfolio by exclusively offering flat-panel detectors on all full-size C-arms, while discontinuing conventional image intensifiers.
To meet the growing needs of physicians worldwide, it is a consistent step in the technology paradigm shift to offer a portfolio based exclusively on flat-panel detectors – offering significantly better image quality and performance,” says Martin Toernvik, Vice President Global Sales & Marketing.

Ziehm Imaging continues to push the boundaries of intraoperative 3D imaging, with its flagship Ziehm Vision RFD 3D covering a wide range of applications from high-end orthopedics, trauma and spine to innovative vascular and interventional procedures. Visitors are invited to get a preview on upcoming software features such as a new high-quality imaging mode for larger patients and an optimized Volume Rendering-Technique (VRT) for an improved 3D visualization5.

Powerful packages for more efficient image-guided interventions

Usage of mobile C-arms also continues to grow in the cardiovascular segment. The company showcases two dedicated clinical packages for cardio and vascular interventions based on the fully motorized Ziehm Vision RFD Hybrid Edition4, which is a multipurpose alternative to fixed installed systems.

Combined with Therenva’s mobile image fusion system EndoNaut, the Ziehm Vision RFD Hybrid Edition4 allows more accuracy for demanding hybrid OR procedures by bringing preoperative CT data and intraoperative images together. This combination helps healthcare professionals to efficiently plan and safely execute minimally invasive endovascular interventions while not only reducing X-ray exposure but also minimizing contrast media consumption.

In combination with a large monitor display, an interventional table and Fysicon’s QMAPP hemodynamic monitoring system, the powerful 30 kW Ziehm Vision RFD Hybrid Edition4 becomes an efficient mobile CathLab.

Additionally, visitors can explore Orthoscan mini C-arms for surgical and clinical imaging alongside the Ziehm Imaging full-size C-arms.
