On 2 December, Caroline Casey, the Founder of The Valuable 500, and Stephen Frost, Founder of Included, will form the core of a panel discussion on “Changing Business: Expanding inclusive employment opportunities”. Joining the duo as panellists will be representatives from three organisations that are Worldwide Paralympic Partners, as well as signatories of The Valuable 500: Neil Milliken, Vice President Group Accessibility & Digital Inclusion at Atos; Angelika Inglsperger, Allianz’s Group Head People CoE; and Gareth Whalley, Coca Cola’s Global Director – Inclusion, Belonging & Connection.

Caroline Casey is an award-winning social entrepreneur. Committed to building a global movement on inclusive business for the world’s 1.2 billion persons with disabilities over the past two decades, she has set up several organisations and initiatives centred on disability business inclusion. This includes The Valuable 500 which in May 2021 reached its goal of 500 international organisations committing to put disability inclusion on their board agenda.

Stephen Frost is a globally recognised diversity, inclusion and leadership expert, who founded Included, a global, impact-led diversity and inclusion consultancy, in 2012. From 2007-2012 he designed, led and implemented the inclusion programmes for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games as Head of Diversity and Inclusion for the Organising Committee. He has won various awards from the 2010 Peter Robertson Award for Equality and Diversity Champions and 2011 Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum to one of Management Today’s Change Agents for his race and gender work.

The theme of the 2021 Inclusion Summit which takes place 2-3 December is “Building Back Better: Sport as a tool to place persons with disabilities at the heart of the inclusion agenda”. Over two days, a world class line-up of 40 speakers from civil society, business, development, sport, entertainment, and assistive technologies will take part in 16 top-level virtual sessions. Through a mixture of keynote addresses, panel discussions and presentations, two key areas relating to the summit’s theme will be explored:

– Promotion of social inclusion and human rights
– How sport advance the Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

Amongst the other speakers already confirmed for the 2021 Inclusion Summit are: Carla Qualtrough, Canada’s Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion; Andrew Parsons, IPC President; Ana Lucia Arellano, International Disability Alliance Chairperson; and David Evangelista, Special Olympics European Eurasia President.
