TÜV SÜD confirms ML3 maturity level for the first time
In addition to renewing the ML2 certification, Softing Industrial has for the first time received certification at maturity level ML3 (PPP 15003C:2024, Full ML3 Process Profile). It applies to the Haar and Cluj-Napoca sites.
While ML2 requires the definition and documentation of appropriate security processes, ML3 additionally confirms their systematic application in ongoing product development. This demonstrates that Softing Industrial has a high level of process maturity and consistently implements its security requirements in product development.
Certification confirms secure development processes
The certifications confirm that Softing Industrial applies defined and verified processes for the secure development of its automation products. The development lifecycle includes, among other things, the definition of security requirements, secure design and secure implementation, as well as verification and validation. The handling of vulnerabilities, patch management, and end-of-life are also taken into account.
Security processes firmly embedded in development
"I am proud of our development team, which has not only maintained our existing high standards but has also demonstrated, through the ML3 certification, the consistent application of our security processes in day-to-day product development," says Thomas Rummel, Managing Director of Softing Industrial.
"The cybersecurity of our customers‘ industrial applications is a central goal of our product development. The expansion of the certification to include the Schwäbisch Gmünd site, together with the additional ML3 certification, shows that we consistently implement our quality and security processes across all our sites."
