BluTest Laboratories Expands Accredited Bacteriology Testing Services into Medical and Veterinary Sectors

BluTest Laboratories – A Tentamus Company, a UKAS accredited laboratory (No. 4597), is pleased to announce the expansion of its bacteriology department to include specialist suspension standard testing for both the medical and veterinary sectors.

Building on its established capabilities in general-purpose efficacy testing, including EN 1276 and EN 1650, BluTest Laboratories now offers accredited testing to the following additional European standards:

Veterinary Sector

  • EN 1656 – Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity of veterinary disinfectants and antiseptics
  • EN 1657 – Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of fungicidal or yeasticidal activity of veterinary disinfectants and antiseptics

Medical Sector

  • EN 13727 – Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity in the medical area
  • EN 13624 – Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of fungicidal or yeasticidal activity in the medical area

This expansion strengthens BluTest Laboratories’ ability to support manufacturers across healthcare, veterinary, and infection prevention markets with reliable, high-quality antimicrobial efficacy testing services.
