The New Product Family: Modular, Scalable, Future-Proof

The BRAIN Home EMS forms the technological core of several newly available and expanded systems:

• PowerBackup BRAIN: A pre-wired backup distribution board with an integrated BRAIN Home and Smart Meter. It enables a true full backup for all loads in the event of a grid failure, features automatic grid switching, and integrates seamlessly into existing systems. Ideal for retrofitting SMA, Sungrow, Fox ESS, and GoodWe systems, with other manufacturers already in preparation.
• BRAIN Cabinet: An AC distribution enclosure specifically designed for existing buildings, featuring an integrated EMS. The BRAIN Cabinet is engineered as an additional box for the straightforward connection of heat pumps, wallboxes, and other building automation components. Here too, the BRAIN Home and Smart Meter are integrated ex-works – perfect for renovations and modernizations.
• EV-Connect BRAIN Pro: A modular AC charging park distribution board with an integrated professional EMS for commercial charging hubs (C&I). It includes an interface to the power generation plant (EZA) controller, is scalable up to 70 charging points, and is fully grid-compliant in accordance with §14a EnWG. The integrated “PRO” EMS not only allows for the precise regulation of all charging stations at the grid connection point, but also fits seamlessly into existing hardware and software ecosystems – including connections to control systems, battery management systems from system manufacturers, or utility infrastructure.
• PowerShield 500/1100 BRAIN Pro: Certified grid and plant protection solutions (VDE-AR-N 4105/4110) with optionally integrated BRAIN Pro EMS and EZA controller. Designed for large-scale projects up to 1.1 MW – pre-assembled, configurable to specific projects, and available from July in combination with a comprehensive grid connection service package (including plant certification, protection technology testing, documentation, and project engineering).

New to the Portfolio: Tenant Electricity Solutions with EPIC & BRAIN Pro

In practice, intelligent communal building supply (§42b EnWG) for multi-family buildings is still largely considered “uncharted territory.” Yet, tenants benefit from affordable solar power directly from the roof without having to change their current electricity provider.
