L&T Fashion Warehouse Pilots the Digital Future of Fashion Retail Together with GK and Vusion

L&T Lengermann & Trieschmann, one of Germany’s largest owner-operated fashion and sporting goods retailers, is digitizing its brick‑and‑mortar sales floor. Since September 2025, the Osnabrück-based company has been managing its in-store pricing using GK Software’s powerful price optimization solution. Approximately 20,000 items from the new Fall/Winter collection were equipped with Vusion’s ESway smart hangtags, which display up-to-date prices directly on the product.
By combining digital labels with GK’s Price Optimizer, L&T now adjusts its retail prices. The AI-powered pricing engine consolidates historical and real-time sell-through data, inventory levels, and external factors such as seasonal patterns and market trends. Based on these inputs, the Price Optimizer predicts demand and automatically recommends prices that balance revenue, sell-through, and margin. L&T can also centrally manage seasonal promotions at the push of a button and synchronize them with its online store. “Our technology translates L&T’s strategy directly into precise prices at the shelf,” says Sandy Preuß, Head of Sales & Strategic Solutions and Vice President at GK AIR.
L&T also benefits from the Vusion hangtags, which use state-of-the-art wireless technology not only to display accurate prices, but also to pinpoint item locations with a precision of up to ten centimeters. The digital labels allow L&T to analyze how often customers pick up items, take them into fitting rooms, or combine them with other products. When paired with sell-through data, these insights provide L&T with valuable, real-time product-level visibility into customer behavior. “We deliver the same level of analytical granularity that e-commerce provides—only directly within the physical store,” explains Marc Lebherz, Senior Key Account Manager Fashion at Vusion.
At the launch of the new Fall/Winter season, L&T integrated Vusion’s ESway hangtags into its logistics workflow for the first time. Store staff no longer need to manually label items on the sales floor. To keep returns and exchanges simple, each product additionally receives a paper tag without pricing information.
Operational Efficiency: Automated Processes from Warehouse to Sales Floor
The smart labels give L&T end‑to‑end inventory transparency. In the next stage of the project, inventory levels will also be update automatically as soon as products arrive in the store. For the spring and winter collection, the solution will also identify inter-store transfers on its own and synchronize data bidirectionally between the retailer’s ERP system and the Vusion platform—eliminating error-prone and time-consuming manual adjustments.
From Pilot to Partnership: L&T, Vusion & GK AIR Innovate Together
After testing and evaluation digital price labels L&T opted for a development partnership with Vusion. Together, the partners brought the ESway smart hangtags to commercial maturity and integrated them with GK’s cloud-based Price Optimizer. “The interplay between smart labels and powerful AI-driven price management has given us a strategic advantage. L&T received the reta award 2026 in the "Checkout & Smart Store" category. The award for exceptional retail technological achievements was presented on February 23, 2026, in Düsseldorf.
