FACHPACK 2025: Packaging Valley presents new slogan and expanded network strength

Creating solutions together, driving innovation and actively shaping the future of the packaging industry – that’s what Packaging Valley Germany e.V. stands for. And this is exactly what will be visible and tangible at FACHPACK 2025: With a strong joint presence and under the new slogan "Your network for packaging excellence", the network will become a platform for dialogue, progress and partnership-based cooperation. On around 1,400 m², 21 co-exhibitors will show how networked know-how, and the bundling of resources and technological expertise create real added value for the industry and its players.
The aim of the trade fair appearance is to make the power of networking visible and to make the community tangible, to highlight innovation potential, to respond to current challenges in the industry and to actively shape the future of the packaging industry together with partners, customers and interested parties.
"With our new slogan, we are getting to the heart of what makes us special: concentrated competence, cooperative partnership and the commitment to deliver excellence along the entire process chain. The importance of joint action is constantly growing in an increasingly volatile world – which is why we are sending a clear signal of our orientation and self-image with the strength of the community," explains Martin Buchwitz, Managing Director of Packaging Valley.
Through exchange, cooperation and bundled know-how, the network aims to provide answers to the most pressing questions in the industry and to ensure top quality. The new slogan signals this claim to the outside world and at the same time makes it clear that Packaging Valley is more than the sum of its members – namely an ecosystem that networks excellence.
In addition to the variety of innovative packaging, machine and automation solutions, trade fair visitors can expect the expert forum PACKBOX: Packaging Valley to help shape the program and talk about technology trends in data analysis, additive manufacturing, robotics, AI, sustainability and market development – in Hall 4, Booth 4209.

21 co-exhibitors at a glance – this is what visitors can expect
APS Tech Group GmbH is presenting a fully automated palletizing robot system at FACHPACK. The compact, quickly convertible solution ensures flexible and efficient palletizing processes – even with changing containers and stacking patterns – and can be easily integrated into existing packaging lines. In addition, the company will be presenting an innovative cup handling solution that enables particularly high cycle rates and gentle, safe handling of sensitive products. The modular systems are customizable and support your production in terms of efficiency, reliability and automation. Practical live demos at the booth will demonstrate how modern robotics and intelligent handling can make your packaging processes future-proof and powerful. (Booth 3C-310)
Bucher Automation will be showcasing its motion control ecosystem with JetControl, JetSym, JetMove 2000 and the JX4 system at FACHPACK – compact, precise and EtherCAT-based®. The solutions are ideal for packaging machines for filling and capping. A pick-and-place demo with Delta robots illustrates the seamless coordination of complex movements in the system network. EUCHNER presents the latest generation of the electronic key system, the EKS2. The further development of the successful EKS system offers decisive advantages for digital access control and secure operating mode selection. With predefined template projects, you can reduce programming effort to a minimum and benefit from modern security features. With decades of experience in packaging technology, Harro Höfliger is one of the leading suppliers of precise solutions, especially for pharmaceutical and medical technology. For example, the Swabian mechanical engineering company offers tailor-made systems for the packaging of medical devices such as auto-injectors and surgical suture material. At FACHPACK, the company will be showing what distinguishes processes in these special areas. With regard to the process chain, it will be demonstrated how all steps are seamlessly intertwined – from individual product feeding to highly efficient cartoning using MKT and MKC to comprehensive quality control by the MQS system. Performance at the lowest price – the HERMA eco labeller is demonstrating this for the first time as part of a labeller. In the redesigned 652C, it ensures extremely efficient top and bottom labeling. With the 362E wrap-around labeling machine, HERMA shows how special film labels can be variably printed with a UV laser – just by changing the colour. And a complete labeling line also presents the advantages of the modular HERMA labelers for a wide range of applications. (Booth 3C-322)
Direct printing on the cardboard instead of sticking labels. The engineering office Lawrenow e. K. Fachpack will be showcasing packaging printing systems based on HP inkjet technology TIJ 4.0 and derived from the large HP Page-Wide printing systems. Print widths from 22 to 216 mm, resolutions up to 1200 x 1200 DPI enable razor-sharp prints at speeds up to 732 m/min. The water-based inks are also sustainable, food-compliant and vegan. Another focus is on SMARTJET’s color printing systems for printing on packaging and cardboard boxes in four colors, CMYK and in white. (Booth 3C-318)
Ishida will be showcasing efficient, newly developed systems for fully automated weighing, packaging and quality control. A highlight is the CCW-AS multihead weigher, which processes even challenging products with high performance. The QX-800 tray sealer is the right choice for large-scale production while requiring little space and energy. In addition, the manufacturer underlines its competence in the field of quality assurance. Several X-ray inspection systems and Ishida’s new checkweigher series and a new seal seam tester will be demonstrated. (Booth 3C-210)
Lenord+Bauer presents the cost-effective SeGMo-Positioning GEL 6009 actuator, which can now also be used in applications in which, for example, cleaning processes are carried out with water thanks to its IP65 protection class. It is also available in a version with 10 Nm of torque, so it also covers tasks that require more power. It can be integrated into the system control either via IO-Link or via the Industrial Ethernet fieldbus interfaces EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP and Profinet. (Booth 3C-422)
As an international sensor expert in automation technology, Leuze electronic GmbH + Co. KG presents one of the largest portfolios of robust and hygienic sensors in stainless steel housings for all process steps in food packaging. A special highlight in the portfolio is the new CRT 648 colour sensor with its large integrated LCD display, fast teaching process, high scanning range of 150mm and the possibility to distinguish up to 7 different colours. Automated quality assurance meets artificial intelligence: OCTUM presents the label.inspect and vial.inspect solutions, two practical systems that show how AI is revolutionizing industrial image processing. The focus is on clear advantages: simplified setup, robust detection of variable products and seamless integration into existing lines. label.inspect uses artificial intelligence directly on the camera – in the form of EdgeLearning. vial.inspect demonstrates a direct comparison: Using identical image data, the flanging of injection vials is inspected both rule-based and AI-supported.
The automation specialist OMRON will present special solutions for the packaging and pharmaceutical industries from its extensive range to the trade audience. In addition to the handling of sustainable packaging materials and the resulting requirements for control performance, the focus this year will also be on quality assurance and inspection. You can also experience the latest addition to the OMRON AMR family, the OL-450S – a versatile and efficient autonomous mobile robot that takes cart transport efficiency to a new level. Together with its customers, OPTIMA packaging group GmbH implements forward-looking solutions – such as the OPTIMA Moduline Smart, which impresses with its high flexibility and fast format changes. A new addition is the integrated OPTIMA RPS pack and closure picker, which provides additional automation. At FACHPACK 2025, OPTIMA will also be presenting fiber-based packaging solutions and digital services. Rockwell Automation with a focus on smart machines: Rockwell Automation will be showcasing forward-looking solutions for the packaging industry at the Packaging Valley joint booth (booth 3C-411). The focus is on smart machines, data readiness, digital transformation with Kalypso and cybersecurity – under the motto "Creating the Future of Industrial Operations". An interactive video demo of complete factory automation illustrates the added value for OEMs and end customers in a practical way. Schreyer Sondermaschinen GmbH develops and manufactures tailor-made packaging solutions for the food industry. Based in the heart of Packaging Valley, the company stands for innovative technology, the highest quality and sustainable production processes for the program: V3 – Packaging, Uniting and Distributing. At this year’s Fachpack, Schreyer will be showing what sustainable packaging technology can look like. With up to 80% less packaging material, drastically reduced energy consumption and a simple operating philosophy across machines that everyone understands. (Booth 3C-323)
STAKO GmbH Maschinenbau will be presenting a new, universally applicable labeller LBS-2-200. With a centering star, 2-sided labeling, and servo-driven as well as parallel centering, many labeling tasks can be carried out on one machine in the high-performance range. According to customer requirements, all commercially available label dispensers, printers and camera systems can be attached. Also new is an unpacker for foil-wrapped trays with digital height adjustments, as well as new safety technology when the turning unit is closed. STAKO GmbH produces labeling machines, transport systems and feeding equipment for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and chemical industries. (Booth 3C-228)
With the W13 and KA60 machines, SVZ Maschinenbau GmbH is once again presenting an important part of its range of box and carton erecting machines. The W13 crate erecting machine, which has proven itself many times over, has been further developed in essential details. Flexibility and high performance in a small area are the hallmarks of the KA60 tray erector. SVZ also implements tailor-made solutions and a high degree of flexibility in automated end-of-line packaging with various robot systems. A double palletizing station with a "collaborating robot" (cobot) will be shown. The robot cell can also be used for other handling tasks thanks to simple peripheral modifications. (Booth 3C-321)
Whether dynamic weighing, precise labeling, high-performance serialization, optical inspection or high-precision foreign object detection – Wipotec offers end-to-end complete solutions for efficient packaging processes. At the booth, visitors will experience live how different systems can be intelligently combined to automate production lines and ensure quality. The focus is on modular solutions that are specially designed for the respective production environments. Among other things, checkweighers with integrated metal detection and advanced marking systems with automatic camera inspection will be on display. (Booth 3C-220)
ZEBRA Engineering will use the stage to present its fully modular automation concept for assembly, testing and packaging systems – the ZEBRA EcoSystem – to an international audience using practical exhibits. This includes, among other things, highly efficient and variable product transport with the greatest possible degree of freedom, a gripper that can be flexibly positioned and robotics suitable for industrial use. Founded in 2007, the Packaging Valley Germany e.V. cluster is the world’s most innovative competence center for intelligent and sustainable packaging, machine and automation solutions. The cluster for packaging machine construction and automation emerged from a merger of the clusters Packaging Valley Germany Region Hohenlohe and Packaging Excellence Region Stuttgart and today networks over 100 companies throughout Germany. These include manufacturers of packaging systems and machines, providers of software and automation solutions, manufacturers of components, providers of services related to the packaging industry and public institutions. The companies in Packaging Valley are always one step ahead of the future and offer the market the best technologies in the field of packaging machine construction and automation. International market leaders from the food, beverages, confectionery, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors are among its customers. The headquarters of Packaging Valley Germany e.V. is in Waiblingen, with another office in Schwäbisch Hall. The majority of the members are based in the southwest, with a focus on the Stuttgart and Hohenlohe regions. Since 2024, the regional focus of the cluster has been expanded beyond southwestern Germany in order to be able to integrate packaging machinery companies based throughout Germany.
