SKZ and NETSTAL bring innovation and sustainability together

Experts from the plastics and injection molding industry attended the event to discuss current developments in the circular economy, material efficiency and technological solutions for the future and to gain new insights from the lecture program.

On April 2, 2025, the SKZ and Netstal organized an information and networking day at the SKZ site in Horb am Neckar on the topic of “The future of plastics: innovation and sustainability”.
The all-day event met with great interest and brought together experts from the plastics and injection molding industry to exchange ideas.

The focus was on current challenges and opportunities in the circular economy, material efficiency and technological innovations in injection molding. In particular, the combination of recycled materials, modern machine control and sustainable tool design generated intensive discussions and lively interest.

Diverse lecture program with practical relevance
Industry experts presented the latest developments, including ways to reduce CO₂ through material substitution, efficient production processes and ways to recycle plastic waste. The direct exchange provided valuable impetus and opened up new perspectives for sustainable solutions in injection molding.

Exchange at eye level and new impetus
In addition to the lecture program, the event offered plenty of space for networking and professional exchange. Participants particularly praised the open atmosphere, which made it possible to make new contacts, gain concrete ideas and strengthen personal networks.

Live demonstrations at the technical center
A special highlight were the live demonstrations at the SKZ technical center, where modern machine and process technologies were demonstrated in a practical way. The combination of theoretical know-how and concrete application scenarios was very well received by the participants.

“The Info Day impressively demonstrates that economic efficiency and sustainability do not have to be opposites and can go hand in hand,” says Jens Enghardt, Head of Sales at NETSTAL Germany. “Formats like this are crucial for actively shaping the industry’s transformation process together.”

“We are convinced that we have made an important contribution to the further development of sustainable production methods with this event and look forward to further successful events like this to further strengthen the transfer of knowledge in the industry,” says Jürgen Kern, Site Manager of the SKZ in Horb.
