It is a fact that the estimated ten billion people living on the planet in 2050 will fuel the demand for food. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations predicts that the production of agricultural products in industrialized countries will have to increase by 24 percent. In developing countries, an increase in production of as much as 77 percent will be necessary. However, the amount of land available for agriculture is limited and is constantly decreasing due to increasing urbanization and climate change. Productivity must therefore be increased. This is where potash fertilizer comes into play, as it is necessary for higher yields and plant health. In 2024, the global potash fertilizer market was worth around 22 billion US dollars. Estimates predict a volume of more than 128 billion US dollars by the end of 2037.
One of the most promising potash companies is Millennial Potash – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/millennial-potash-corp/ – with its potash project in Gabon, Africa. Gabon scores points for its mining friendliness and large potash deposits.
Silver could also lead to higher yields in agriculture. Silver nanoparticles prevent mold growth in tomato plants and mold is a problem in fruit and vegetable cultivation. Researchers have been experimenting for some time with fungicidal nanoparticles in which silver shines. Silver nanoparticles are the best-researched nanoparticles. Silver can combat around 650 different types of microorganisms. And it promotes the growth of plants.
One of the successful silver producers is MAG Silver – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/mag-silver-corp/ – with its stake in the Juanicipio silver mine in Mexico. Yields are reliable, grades are consistently high, and this distinguishes the project as a world-class operation.
