Uncertainties are also to be expected in the future. It is an up and down situation. The withdrawal of the 50% EU tariffs has caused the gold price to rise. Overall, however, the gold price seems to be approaching its old high, and chart technicians are expecting a new acceleration in the rally. In any case, lower gold prices should motivate investors to take advantage of entry opportunities. After all, it is unlikely that investors will bail out if the price falls due to the constant price fluctuations.
It is also interesting to take a look at the development of the platinum price. According to the World Platinum Investment Council, a supply deficit of almost 850,000 ounces of platinum is expected in 2025. Similar to gold, the prices of platinum, palladium and silver initially rose following the announcement of EU tariffs. Then, like the gold price, they moved downwards again. Incidentally, the gold-silver ratio (gold price divided by silver price) is now almost 100, which is very high. Entry opportunities can also be exploited in the shares of mining companies.
Platinum, palladium and gold are produced by the Sibanye-Stillwater Group – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/sibanye-stillwater-ltd/ – with its operations in South Africa and the USA.
Revival Gold – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/revival-gold-inc/ – is developing the Mercur gold project in Utah, which is ready for production at relatively short notice. The company is also preparing the approval process and the ongoing exploration of the Beartrack-Arnett gold project in Idaho.
