Anavrin Equestrian Retreat & Sports Club joins Healing Hotels of the World

The Anavrin Equestrian Retreat & Sports Club is the newest member of Healing Hotels of the World and opened its doors in November this year. The retreat, located in the heart of the UAE, is specialised in Equine Therapy and outdoor experiences. The programs draw on the healing power of nature and focus on relaxation, rejuvenation, seclusion or for the more active guests on sports and outdoor challenges.

Anavrin Equestrian Retreat & Sports Club, surrounded by streams, lakes and waterfalls,  allows guests to reconnect with nature on 20 hectares of fertile land. The 5-star luxury “glamping” staycation can be experienced in various accommodation types: chalets, ogles (off-grid living experience units), covered wagons, and even caravans, which can be rented for one night. Additionally, two restaurants serve international, Spanish- and Moorish-inspired cuisine, using only organic ingredients sourced from the retreat itself. Other sustainable practices include an integrated solar power system, water & waste recycling as well as using primarily rescue horses for the therapies.

“Anvarin offers a truly unique approach to holistic healing with horse therapy and a deep connection to nature”, says Anne Biging, Co-Founder of Healing Hotels of the World. “Here, you can find relief from burn-out, care for loss of love or clear your mind.”

Most of the horses at the retreat are ex-champions from world class racing, endurance, dressage and show horses. Some went through trust issues and depression, when they were later injured, ignored, or even completely abandoned. At Anavrin, these champion horses are back with their human counterparts, not as race or event horses, but as mentors and therapists for trust and empowerment programs. Guests can even bring their own horses and enjoy the 1.3 km horse track and lush lands.

The on-site Anavrin Spa offers a Hydrotherapy suite to relax body and mind, therapeutic and sports massages, Ayurvedic treatments as well as beauty treatments, nutritional coaching, stress management, yoga, guided meditation, and aromatic therapies.

There is even the possibility to try Isolation Therapy during the Lone Wolf stay.

Along with the therapies and treatments go the numerous activities the retreat provides. Besides barbecuing, sport activities and fishing, guests can also camp in the middle of the desert for a night or trek nearby mountains.

“Feel guided by the gentle healing energy of horses and experience a memorable stay”, says Elisabeth Ixmeier, Co-Founder of Healing Hotels of the World.
