Airport Show Dubai: Siemens Logistics showcases its diverse portfolio

• May 17 – 19, 2022, Booth 3250, Dubai World Trade Centre
• Live simulation of baggage handling with Baggage 360
• Digital twin for real-time forecasts and process control
• Three-way baggage sorting with unique VarioBelt TilterPlus

Siemens Logistics is presenting its high-performance solutions for the airport sector at this year’s Airport Show Dubai. The trade fair has been a key meeting place for experts from the aviation industry for some years now.

Siemens Logistics’ presence at the show will focus on reliable systems and innovative IoT applications to meet the challenges facing the airports of the future. With Baggage 360, customers can enjoy seamless baggage handling on many levels, including real-time baggage-flow forecasts that are unique to the market. The application also provides interactive maps that show movements on the apron and a tool for planning and simulating fixed, mobile, and personnel resources. Using a digital twin, airports can display their processes virtually and optimize and control them through remote access. Baggage 360 ensures efficient operation – even with short transfer times or particularly high utilization. Trade visitors can experience Baggage 360 in detail with a live demo at the Siemens booth.

Another highlight of the show is the new VarioBelt TilterPlus belt conveyor. With just one device, baggage items can be conveyed in three directions: straight ahead, to the left, and to the right. VarioBelt TilterPlus allows airport operators to expand their system on a modular basis with significantly fewer machines and a smaller footprint.

The Airport Show Dubai takes place from May 17 – 19, 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The Siemens team is looking forward to welcoming customers and partners in person at Booth 3250.
