Blackstone Resources AG (SWX; symbol BLS, ISIN CH0460027110) is pleased to announce that we welcomed Saxony’s Minister President Michael Kretschmer (CDU) to Döbeln today. At the site of Blackstone Technology GmbH (100% subsidiary of Blackstone Resources AG), the Minister President viewed our new production facility for sustainable, 3D printed battery cells and entered into a close discussion with the management.

On this occasion, we were able to present our commitment to the recycling of batteries and battery materials to the Minister President and discuss the role of Blackstone Technology in the networking of the Saxony Innovation Alliance. The interested visitor saw the production of the first cathodes and anodes manufactured on site and was able to take a look at the 3D screen printing system developed by Blackstone during production.

At the meeting, Minister President Kretschmer expressed his conviction that the technologies developed by Blackstone make a valuable contribution to climate neutrality and to Saxony as a business location. Kretschmer: "To protect the environment and our livelihoods, smart action, new approaches and innovations are needed. One example of the creativity and innovative power here in Saxony is the commitment of Blackstone Resources. The company is not only an attractive employer in the region. The novel battery cells manufactured here can also make an important contribution to climate-friendly mobility. The company thus stands for the great competencies and know-how available in the Free State of Saxony in the field of tomorrow’s mobility. "

Holger Gritzka, CEO of Blackstone Technology GmbH and Serhat Yilmaz, CMO & CBDO of Blackstone Resources AG also speak of a fruitful discussion after the visit. Gritzka: "We were pleased to be able to present our advanced production facility to Mr. Kretschmer. In Döbeln, we manufacture high-tech battery cells with high energy density and maximum shape flexibility. Electromobility as well as stationary systems can benefit significantly from our battery technologies. In addition, we have started the construction of a pilot plant for the production of 3D printed solid state cells based on sodium. "

Serhat Yilmaz emphasizes the ecological significance of the technologies developed by Blackstone: "In Saxony, we produce modern and environmentally compatible batteries in the heart of Europe. The water-based manufacturing process does not use toxic organic solvents, so it generates less waste and sustainably reduces energy consumption in production."
