„die Bayerische“ remains official insurance partner for BIG and expands esport sponsorship

The German insurance company "die Bayerische" will remain the official insurance partner of BIG in 2022 and main sponsor of the BIG League Of Legends Team, that was able to win both German championship titles in 2021.

At the beginning of last year, die Bayerische successfully mastered its entry into the world of esports with BIG. With the support of insurance partner "die Bayerische", the renowned League of Legends team of BIG won both German championships in the Prime League and achieved top placings during both the European Masters Seasons.

In the coming season, "die Bayerische" will continue to serve as BIG’s official insurance partner and further expand its commitment to BIG’s League of Legends team as the main sponsor. In addition, the company will also be a partner of the successful Trackmania driver Dennis "Massa" Lotze and the StarCraft 2 professional player Tobias "ShoWTimE" Sieber in 2022. Both players are among the top international professionals and belong to Germany’s best athletes in their disciplines.

An important part of the partnership last year was the creation of the League Of Legends Team’s new player jersey for the 2022 season. As part of the jersey campaign, BIG fans were able to submit their designs for the official jersey of the BIG League Of Legends Team. Subsequently, the best proposals were put to the vote and rewarded with prizes. The winning jersey has served as the official player jersey of the League Of Legends pros since the beginning of January and will also be used in the Summer Split of the Prime League.

As part of the extension, "die Bayerische" will expand the main partnership of the League Of Legends team. After two championships in the Prime League and excellent placements at the European Masters 2021, "die Bayerische" continues to be an important pillar of our ongoing success. In addition, the involvement in Trackmania and StarCraft will be prolonged. We are looking forward to many exciting games and projects together with our partner and the team from Bavaria. #GOBIG

Statement Joachim Zech, Marketing Director of “die Bayerische”

Just one year after our entry into esports and the decision to enter into a partnership with BIG, we realized that our strategy was very well received by the community and that we have been able to achieve our goals. Therefore, it makes us very happy and proud that we can continue to intensify our partnership this year and celebrate further successes together. #GOBIG
