For the formal cancellation of the insolvency proceedings, the entry into legal force of the plan confirmation is still required. Attorney Steffen Rauschenbusch from the law firm Ernestus Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, insolvency administrator of FIMA Maschinenbau GmbH since July 2019, explains: "After the expiry of various statutory deadlines, the district court can be expected to cancel the proceedings in a few weeks".

The basis of the plan, which was drawn up by the insolvency administrator Rauschenbusch and the management, is the entry of Fontes Mittelstandskapital GmbH from Munich into FIMA Maschinenbau GmbH, which was announced at the beginning of December 2021. Fontes has a long-term strategic interest in FIMA and intends to contribute both financially and personally to the company.

The business operations of FIMA Maschinenbau GmbH have continued without restrictions since the application for insolvency. Customers and suppliers continue to stand by the company. “Despite all the difficulties, 2021 was a good year for our business. The order books are already well filled for 2022," adds Managing Director Dr. Ertong.
