EchoRing: Peppermint Group takes stake in new R3 Solutions

Highly available and fast-response wireless technologies are an indispensable core component of the further automation of industry and the Industrial Internet of Things. With EchoRing from R3, such a technology is already available to industry today.

The further development of EchoRing technology is now being taken over by the newly founded R3 Solutions GmbH, which emerged from R3 – Reliable Realtime Radio Communications GmbH. Dr.-Ing. Mathias Bohge and Florian Bonanati have joined the new company as Managing Directors. The Peppermint industrial group holds a stake in the new company. Mathias Bohge explains: "In Peppermint we have a strong and reliable partner with whom we can jointly advance EchoRing and industrial real-time wireless networking."

The new set-up provides R3, which will continue to operate independently, with the ideal environment for the further development of EchoRing technology. Florian Bonanati: "As part of the Peppermint family, we benefit from strong synergies and are part of a highly innovative cluster of companies."

For the Peppermint Group, R3 Solutions is the starting point for the development of the new visionary business area "Wireless Technologies & Sensorics". Marcus Baumbach, Managing Partner at Peppermint: "With our investment in wireless industrial communication, we are opening a new chapter at Peppermint. This includes radio control systems as an important digital technology of the future, which make industrial processes independent of cable connections and thus less prone to errors. Wireless communication in industry is a key driver of Industry 4.0 and thus fits perfectly into our corporate strategy for sustainable and intelligent industrial production of the future."
