On October 28, 2021, the 3rd day of Blechexpo 2021, there will be another highlight at Blechexpo in Stuttgart: The trade fair organizers, P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG, have launched the 1st Blechexpo Steel Convention. Its motto is "Ways of Steel Production" and it is being organized by the Stahl-Kommunikation agency.

In times of climate protection, new, energy- and climate-friendly ways for steel production are being researched worldwide or are already being successfully pursued. It is only logical that this not only protects the climate, but also increases the costs of steel production and, in the process chain, ultimately also the mate-rial costs for steel users.

Well-known speakers from the companies will speak about this complex topic and discuss it together with the visitors to the convention. The order of the presentations is still to be determined.

ArcelorMittal (Speaker: Dr. Holger Braun, Head of CO2 Strategy at ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt) Topic: "Steel4Future – on the way to green steel".

Salzgitter AG (Speaker: Dr. -Ing. Peter Juchmann, Plant Director at Salzgitter Flach-stahl GmbH) Working topic: "SALCOS – Salzgitter Low CO2 Steelmaking".

BDSV (Speaker: Dipl.-Kffr. Daniela Entzian, Gf Bundesvereinigung Deutscher Stahlrecycling- und Entsorgungsunternehmen e. V.) Topic: "Climate protection is made from scrap".
