TIPA World Award 2021 for Hahnemühle’s Print – Protect – Authenticate Range

Hahnemühle is proud to be honoured with another TIPA Award. For the first time, however, not for a high-quality fineart inkjet paper innovation, but for its comprehensive “Print – Protect – Authenticate” accessories line. The Technical Press Imaging Association  – TIPA for short – named this portfolio the best fine art printing solution in the imaging industry.
The editors and publishers of 30 magazines in the photo and imaging industry from all over the world are enthusiastic about the “Print – Protect – Authenticate” range:

„Photographers who aspire to enter the fine art market understand that professional presentation and authentication play an important role in preparing their work for sale. Hahnemühle’s Authentication Product Range gives photo artists a complete package, including their world-renowned archival papers and portfolio boxes and special pre-printed Certificates of Authenticity. In addition, there’s now a free online print registry service for establishing provenance. Hahnemühle inkjet papers have earned high regard among gallerists and curators, thus the association with the brand itself shows the artist’s regard for their work. Other tools include the Hahnemühle Signing Pen Duo, which combines a pigment liner and graphite signing pencil that will not bleed through any paper surface, and various specialty coating sprays for print protection, preservation and presentation.“

A fine art print is more than just a piece of paper – it is an experience that needs to be protected physically and by copyright. For this reason, Hahnemühle has developed a range of accessories, complementary to its outstanding inkjet papers, to print, protect and authenticate artworks.

Choosing to print on age resistant and vegan Hahnemühle fine art inkjet papers with archival and pigmented inks is the first step in making artworks last for generations. Protecting them from external influences, preventing colour fading and reducing fingerprint marks with Hahnemühle Protective Spray or Varnish offers further certainty.
Signing a print can guarantee its uniqueness and protects its genuineness. Our newest addition to the accessory range – Hahnemühle Signing Pen Duo – combines a high-quality pigment liner and graphite pencil for unmistakable signatures on matt, satin, and high-gloss paper surfaces. A Duo that glides perfectly on the paper, does not bleed or push through and allows the most detailed signatures. With this set, artists can easily sign an artwork to add a personal touch or emphasize limited edition prints.
The Signing Pen Duo complements perfectly Hahnemühle’s Certificates of Authenticity. Authenticating an artwork with this special combination of certificate and hologram system and the optional online registration on myartregistry.com reduces the risk of forgery and testifies the validity.
Storing artworks safely in acid free and age resistant Hahnemühle Archive and Portfolio boxes protects them once more from light, dust and atmospheric impact.

With the Signing Pen Duo launched during the Hahnemühle Photography Month, Hahnemühle offers now a complete range of products to securely and easily print, protect and authenticate FineArt prints. This compilation enables fine art prints to remain flawless and to convey an artist’s unadulterated message even after more than 100 years.

Über die Hahnemühle FineArt GmbH

Hahnemühle is considered the inventor of Digital FineArt papers for inkjet printing. As a pioneer, the oldest German artist paper manufactory has been refining its real artist papers for photography and art reproductions for more than 15 years.
