GWG Gesellschaft für Wohnungs- und Gewerbebau Baden-Württemberg AG (GWG Group) has commissioned STRABAG Property and Facility Services GmbH (STRABAG PFS) with the integrated facility management for the "Quartier der Generationen" (Neighbourhood of generations) in Hamburg’s HafenCity/Baakenhafen. The implementation has already started on 1 April 2021. The service contract has been concluded for five years until mid-2026. Completion of the area is scheduled for the second half of 2021.

The range of services includes maintenance, inspection, and repair of all technical service systems for around 370 residential units in 11 buildings, each with five to seven residential storeys; there is also an underground car park. In addition to cleaning services, the agreed IFM services also include green maintenance and winter services for the outdoor facilities as well as water and flood protection for the quarter located directly on the banks of the Elbe. STRABAG PFS will provide the services by itself.

With the “Quartier der Generationen”, urgently needed and affordable living space is being created on around 18,000 m² of living space in Hamburg’s renowned HafenCity. All flats are publicly subsidised or have reduced rents. The offer ranges from flats for students and trainees to family and senior flats and assisted units for people with disabilities. An optimal local supply with shops and restaurants on approx. 6,000 m² rounds off the attractive offer.
