Mitsubishi Chemical Merges Group Companies in Germany under Mitsubishi Chemical Europe

On 31 March 2021 Mitsubishi Chemical has finalized the merger of group companies in Germany under Mitsubishi Chemical Europe. The merger strives to create innovative and sustainable solutions for its customers and the realization of cross-business synergies. This regional integration is part of a global Mitsubishi Chemical initiative that is also occurring simultaneously today in the UK and the US.

The new company offers an extensive portfolio of innovative and sustainable solutions. Among others it includes carbon fiber and composites, polyester films, aluminum and metal composite sheets, aluminum fibers, surface technology for semiconductors, additives, sugar esters as well as performance polymers and biopolymers.

The new Mitsubishi Chemical Europe GmbH, already known as the trading unit and European regional headquarters in Dusseldorf, will integrate the following companies are under its roof:

  • Mitsubishi Chemical Europe GmbH
  • MCPP Europe GmbH
  • Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites GmbH
  • Cleanpart Group GmbH (registration in the commercial register is under way)
  • Cleanpart GmbH (registration in the commercial register is under way)
  • Mitsubishi Polyester Film GmbH (as a subsidiary)
  • Cleanpart Dresden GmbH (as a subsidiary)

Ansgar Pohl, the President of the new Mitsubishi Chemical Europe, explains the background of the merger: “We believe that the integration of our group companies in Germany is the right step for the future. It will strengthen our position and brand in the market as we will further improve our ability to satisfy our customers’ requirements and expectations. However one thing stays unchanged”, he adds, “our commitment to circular economy and the sustainable well-being of people, society and our planet Earth – we call it KAITEKI.”
