And so, the new L1 Limited Edition Solar embodies exactly the current way of thinking. It makes use of an infinitely available natural resource: sunlight. Thus, behind the dynamic engineering, designed with the renowned stylistic elements of the award-winning L1, is a sustainable way of thinking. With the L1 Solar, Lilienthal Berlin has broken new ground in many respects. The new watch is also a plea for a change of perspectives since, as this year has taught us, there can be no “business as usual.”

Everything revolves around design

The precise solar quartz movement, caliber AS01, comes from the Japanese manufacturer Epson and powers the watch. The energy that is required for this is generated by a solar cell which sits at the center of the all black design. Engraved orbital lines and glow-in-the-dark Superluminova hands are reminiscent of a stylized solar system. And like a planet, the circle at the tip of the second hand moves around the shimmering metallic dial. The black case with a brushed finish perfectly frames this constellation.

The L1 Limited Edition Solar is available in 37.5 or 42.5 millimeters and limited to 2020 pieces in each size. As with all Limited Editions from Lilienthal Berlin, 5000 euros will be donated to various charities and children‘s aid projects after all watches are sold out. And, of course, the L1 Limited Edition Solar is produced with the highest standards in Germany.
